Definition: Preparing the completed translation to be published or used by making changes to ensure consistency, correcting typos and mistakes, condensing to improve readability.
When creating your content, multiple colleagues have been involved in the reviewing and editing process to ensure there are no errors or inaccuracies, but also to integrate multiple perspectives in order to achieve the best possible final product. Although translating is quite a different exercise than creating new content, it is paramount to include several actors in the TEP (Translation-Editing-Proofreading) process to combine different skills and approaches to tackle tricky portions of the text.
If the translation we provide requires internal desktop publishing, I am happy to provide QA (post-DTP review or online testing) to ensure the final product is error-free, eye-pleasing and the images flow with the text.
